Description
In the southeast of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, lies the impressive Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City, which plays a key role in the city’s infrastructure. Built in 1970, the stadium can accommodate around 23,000 spectators and occupies a location between King Abdulaziz University and the city’s industrial areas, bordering the highway connecting Jeddah and Mecca on the east side.
The stadium, named after Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal, includes two main stands. The western stand is fully roofed and equipped with seats, among which the VIP box and commentary booths located in the center stand out. The arched East Stand is open and curves around the running tracks to create a dramatic architectural statement. The north side of the East Stand features a single large scoreboard, providing excellent visibility from all seats.
The complex also includes an indoor arena and a water sports centre, making it a multi-functional venue ready to host events of all sizes and genres. It is an ideal venue for both local and international sporting events.
